I am proud to share that I have successfully completed my Master’s degree in Applied Cybersecurity and defended my Master’s thesis
This prestigious Erasmus Mundus-funded program gave me the rare opportunity to study tuition-free in Europe, receive a monthly stipend, and work closely with outstanding professors across three consortium universities: SRH University of Applied Sciences, Germany, Kadir Has University, Turkey; Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, North Macedonia
Throughout this journey, I gained deep, hands-on experience across diverse areas of cybersecurity, including malware analysis, digital forensics, penetration testing, cryptography, programming, networking, security, and privacy.
I extend my sincere gratitude to Professor Hasan Dag, Professor Vesna Dimitrova, Professor Reiner Creutzburg and the entire CyberMACS Project team for believing in me especially for moving me from the waitlist to a full scholarship recipient in 2023. This life-changing opportunity and every achievement along the way would not have been possible without the unwavering support of the CyberMACS scholarship program.
My heartfelt appreciation also goes to my thesis advisor, Professor Magdalena Kostoska, and co-advisor, Professor Oguzhan Ceylan , for their exceptional mentorship, guidance, and support throughout my research and successful thesis defense. Their contributions played a defining role in shaping my academic growth.
I am deeply grateful to Remilekun Adeopatoye, a brother, friend, roommate, and classmate whose selfless support during our early days in Turkey I will never forget. Arriving in Turkey on September 8 with just $125, his generosity and kindness, despite us not knowing each other back in Nigeria, exemplify true brotherhood.
My profound thanks go to my parents, whose sacrifices, encouragement, and belief in education laid the foundation for everything I have achieved. I also appreciate my brothers, sisters, family, and friends who stood by me through the toughest moments, your support has been invaluable.
This journey has been filled with dreams, challenges, setbacks, and rejections but graduating from the CyberMACS program is a privilege I could not have imagined a few years ago. I stand today as proof that hard work, perseverance, and unwavering faith truly lead to triumph.
To anyone facing rejection or hardship: it is not the end, it is a stepping stone. Keep pushing forward. Your efforts will pay off, and the universe has a remarkable way of aligning things at the right time.
